About

Brea Mullen is a rising cinematographer who crafts dramatic imagery with notes of youth, lightness, and warmth. Central to her creative vision is the exploration of mental health, girlhood, and coming-of-age. She is obsessed with composition, color, and camera movement, and is motivated to tell honest stories that speak directly to the feeling of being vulnerable and growing into yourself.

She recently lensed Final Reprise, a poignant narrative exploring a grandmother and granddaughter's relationship through loss. And A License to Thrive, a documentary about Afghan refugee women in Tulsa getting their license through an all-female driving school.

Brea currently works full-time in Tulsa’s film and television industry as camera department crew. Notable productions include Sarah’s Oil (2024), The Sensitive Kind, Pilot (2024), The Last Rodeo (2024), The Book of Jobs (2023), Reservation Dogs, Season 3 (2023), The Beldham (2023), and Fancy Dance (2022).

Beyond her creative endeavors, Brea is an advocate for diversity in film, co-founding Women in Film Oklahoma, a safe space that aims to uplift and educate the female/non-binary/two-spirit filmmaking community in Oklahoma.
